Teaching Philosophy

“The principle goal of education is to create humans who are capable of doing new things, not simply repeating what other generations have done – humans who are creative, inventive, and discoverers.” Jean Piaget

The emphasis in my teaching includes hands-on, kinesthetic, sensory experiences. For example; the Earth Tray lesson developed from the studies of Maria Montessori, Carl Jung and Viktor Lowenfeld and sand-tray/world-play training with Gisela DeDomenico in CA. The Talking Stick Ladder/Chandelier lesson developed from walking the earth, listening and working with materials from Nature that presented themselves to me while walking.
