Artist Statement

My work as an Installation Artist includes commemorating/honoring using the visual arts, movement and performance.

Installations from the last six years include:

  • Name, What Continues… Honoring the impermanence and fleeting nature of life using natural/compostable materials. (2021, Refuge Gallery, Basin, MT)
  • El Susteno, los refugios, y no el tierno; an elaboration of the effects of the U.S. blockade on Cuba using mapping, design, dwelling, food, photography in a walk-through/hands-on three dimensional environment. (2018)
  • Installation Poems; a commemoration of the April 2015, 7.8 earthquakes in Nepal using natural materials, photography on fabric, poem pieces and performance. (2016)
  • The Origins Project; Includes Earth People (street performances), and photographs of the body in nature (2009 – present).
