Jennifer L. Thompson has worked as an Art Therapist, Installation Artist, Artist in school and community settings for the past 30 years. Before that she worked for the U. S. Forest Service in recreation and fire. She studied Anthropology at Prescott College, Recreation Management at University of Montana School of Forestry and has an M.A. in Expressive Therapies from Lesley University in Boston.
She brings nature’s influence to her students and art installations using natural and compostable materials for art and hands-on learning opportunities. Jennifer works with the ideas of impermanence, recycling, and the discarded both in a material way and as a way to mirror societal constructs and evolution.
